Elgin Homes – Update July 16, 2021

On July 14, 2021, the Ministry of Long-Term Care provided Long-Term Care Homes, with information regarding changes to Surveillance Testing, Absences, Activities, Dining, Visitors and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

We are looking forward to improving our resident quality of life by being able to ease the restrictions on our visits and activities, surveillance testing and PPE (eye protection).

The changes outlined below for County of Elgin Homes will begin effective July 16, 2021.

COVID-19 Updates July 5, 2021

On June 29, 2021, the Ministry of Long-Term Care provided Long-Term Care Homes with information regarding changes to visits and absences for general visitors and essential caregiver visitors that will come into effect on July 7, 2021.

We are looking forward to implementing these exciting updates and thank you for your patience as we work towards safely implementing these changes for residents, general visitors and essential caregiver visitors.

Graphic to indicate holiday closures at Elgin County Facilities. The Elgin County Administration Building, Provincial Offences Administration Building, and Elgin County Heritage Centre will be closed on Friday, December 23rd at noon. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.
