Books act as both mirrors and windows, helping us to see and understand ourselves and others. If you want to try reading a book from our collection of LGBTQ+ books but aren’t sure where to start, give one of these books a try.

St. Thomas Flag raising & proclamation reading at St. Thomas City Hall @ 10am

Aylmer Picnic & Entertainment at Optimist Pavilion, Optimist Park, Aylmer @ noon - 4pm
Tuesday, August 8th
Elgin County Flag raising & proclamation at Elgin County Heritage Centre, St. Thomas @ noon
Wednesday, August 9th
Pride Community Swim at YMCA, St. Thomas @ 5 - 7:30pm FREE
Be Gay, Do Crafts at Ignite Youth Centre in St. Thomas @ 6 - 8pm FREE
Friday, August 11th
Movie Night in the Park featuring Bee Movie (rated G) at the Pinafore Park Bandshell @ 8:30 - 10:30pm FREE
Saturday, August 12th
Pride in the Park at Pinafore Park Bandshell. Featuring: Deshkan ZiiBi Indigenous Women's Association, Drag Storytime, Drag Show, Karaoke with a Queen, vendors (including Elgin County Library), and more! @ noon - 5pm
Sunday, August 13th
Interfaith Community Celebration & BBQ Picnic at the Pinafore Park Bandshell, plus Pride Parade/Walk around the Park, and Elgin County Pride Closing Ceremony @ 11am - 3pm
