Canadian Periodical Index

Gale OneFile CPI.Q the award-winning electronic version of the Canadian Periodical Index, provides the most-requested Canadian reference information available. It includes more than 1,300 Canadian periodicals (more than 700 full text).  This vast collection is fully integrated, enabling users to search the entire database with a single query. It yields a variety of relevant periodical articles, biographies, company profiles, historical documents, science and technology essays, and much more.

Learning for Life Tool

The Learning for Life Tool is an online database full of adult education and training opportunities across the County of Elgin. This free interactive tool asks you a series of questions about your learning needs, as it narrows down recommendations to the most appropriate programs and courses for you. Each recommendation includes a description of the training opportunity, contact information, a map of the program's location, and more.

The Merck Manuals are medical information resources that are committed to providing current information. 

M.I.understanding is a communication tool designed to educate families and connect them to the resources available to support children who are experiencing mental health issues.

This project consists of a series of videos along with accompanying resources on a website channel dedicated specifically to childhood mental health. The concept is endorsed by Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre, (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program) as well as the Thames Valley District School Board (Mental Health Strategic Planning Committee).

TVO Learn provides educators and parents/caregivers with grade and subject-specific resources to support student learning and has expanded to include over 1500 Learning Activities for Kindergarten to Grade 8 for Language, Mathematics, Social Studies/History & Geography, The Arts, Health & Physical Education, and French as a Second Language (Grades 4-8). TVO Learn has expanded to include Kindergarten Learning Activities that align with each of the four frames of the Kindergarten Program. Universal Class offers over 500 online continuing education classes. Areas of study include accounting, homeschooling and writing skills to list a few. Learn what you want on your own time. Track your progress through assignments and exams.

World Book Online offers 12 resources for your learning adventures available in English, Spanish and French languages.  A few of the resources include Early Learning includes stories, games, videos, and interactive colouring pages for young readers; the Kids section provides thousands of easy-to-read articles filled with images; the Student section provides a citation builder, research tools and interactive maps; the Advanced section provides access to primary sources, historical documents, and multimedia; the Encyclopédie Découverte section offers thousands of easy-to-read articles filled with images and activities for kids in beginner-level French.
