Enhanced Measures for LTC Homes

Dear Residents and Families,

On December 14, 2021, the Ministry of Long-Term Care (MLTC) sent out updated direction for “Enhanced Measures for LTC Homes” related to current local and provincial COVID-19 activity, in particular the Omicron variant activity. 

Attached you will find two (2) documents outlining the MLTC directive changes, some of which are effective today, December 15, 2021 (i.e. general visitors that are not fully vaccinated), and the majority of which are effective December 17, 2021.  Please review the attached documents in full for details regarding vaccination requirements and timelines, visitor changes, rapid antigen testing, resident absences, activities, etc. and please speak to a member of the Homes management team if you have any questions:

Graphic to indicate holiday closures at Elgin County Facilities. The Elgin County Administration Building, Provincial Offences Administration Building, and Elgin County Heritage Centre will be closed on Friday, December 23rd at noon. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.
