Nutrition and Dining

Meal services are carefully planned and prepared in the home by qualified cooks.  Our Registered Dietitian and Manager of Support Services ensure menus offer a variety of food items, meet daily nutritional requirements and meet individual preferences.

Menus are prepared on a cyclical basis a minimum of every 3 weeks.  Menus are based on the Canada Food Guide and include seasonally available items.  Menus are posted daily within the home.  Choices are offered at all meals.  Therapeutic aids are available are available to ensure as much independence as possible and are provided at no additional cost.

Snack and beverage carts are distributed between meals and in the evening.  Residents are encouraged to provide feedback in relation to meals and their dining experience.

Feedback can be provided as required as well as through the Food and Dining Committee, Resident and Family Councils

Special event and guest meals can be purchased through the Business Office.
