The County of Elgin homes believe in providing an attractive, clean, healthy and sanitary environment for the residents, staff and visitors.
We ensure thorough infection control practices utilizing universal precautions and professional grade cleaning products to protect against cross-infection. Housekeeping staff are available daily throughout the homes
Laundry
Laundry service is provided by the home on a daily basis. All linens are supplied by the home at no charge. If a resident wishes to provide their own personal linens, this is accommodated, however we ask that all items are labelled by the home prior to use.
The home uses institutional washers and dryers. Delicate and dry clean fabrics are not advised. Wash and wear or easily laundered items are suggested.
A variety of vendors host in-house clothing sales throughout the year. Dates are posted in advance and residents and family members are welcome to shop at their convenience.
