Elgin's Budget Committee Reviews the Results of the 2024 Budget Survey

On Tuesday, October 24th, Elgin County’s Budget Committee met to review the results of the 2024 Budget Survey. 

The Director of Financial Services/Treasurer provided a high-level overview of the survey results to the Budget Committee.

The Budget Committee is a committee of Elgin County Council that reviews and assesses budget principles, allocations and related financials, providing advice to the Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Finance on the annual budget. They also receive presentations from each department, as required, on financial matters and evaluate the budgetary implications of proposals for new and substantially revised programs and services in advance of Council’s budget deliberations. 

The purpose of the 2024 Budget Survey was to allow residents and business owners to provide their input towards the County’s 2024 Budget.
