Elgin County Council Appoints Don Shropshire as Interim CAO/Clerk
Elgin County Council is thrilled to announce that Mr. Don Shropshire has been appointed Interim Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk (CAO) for the County of Elgin, effective immediately.
Fire Ban in Effect – Elgin County
Effective immediately, all open-air and recreational fires are prohibited anywhere in the City of St. Thomas, Town of Aylmer and the Townships and Municipalities within the County of Elgin. Open air fires are defined as any fire outside of a building and include bonfires, campfires, burn barrels, outdoor fireplaces/chimineas or any other fires set in open air.
Notice of Study Commencement: Highway 4 Widening and Proposed Talbotville Bypass, Highway 3 Twinning
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has retained Stantec Consulting Ltd. to complete the Preliminary Design, Detail Design and Class Environmental Assessment Study (Class EA) for improvements to Highway 3 from Highway 4 to Centennial Avenue (St. Thomas).
