Swinging for a Cause: 2023 Warden's Charity Tournament Tees Up $19,000 for Homelessness and Inclusivity Initiatives

Central Elgin, ON – Elgin County is happy to announce that the 2023 Warden’s Charity Golf Tournament has successfully raised $19,000 for organizations that support homelessness and inclusivity initiatives. These are both crucial issues throughout Elgin County.

The following organizations each received $4,750:

  • The Family Central
  • Community Living Elgin
  • Quad County Support Services
  • West Elgin Community Health Centre – System Navigation Program
  •  

The event took place on Thursday, August 31st, at the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club in the Municipality of Central Elgin. The day started with a friendly putting challenge between Elgin County Warden Ed Ketchabaw and City of St. Thomas Mayor Joe Preston. Following the challenge, participants enjoyed a fun day of golf, games, and great weather, all in support of worthy causes!

Warden Ketchabaw would like to express his gratitude to the generous sponsors, participants, and dedicated volunteers who made this event possible for the fourteenth consecutive year.
