Counting Votes & Shaping Futures: Witness the Annual Warden's Election Unfold in Elgin County

Central Elgin, ON – Elgin County Council’s Annual Warden’s Election will be held on Tuesday, December 5th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Elgin County Council Chambers.

The current Warden of Elgin, Ed Ketchabaw, and Deputy Warden, Grant Jones, have announced their candidacy for the 2024 Warden of the County of Elgin. Both of these individuals and any additional candidates seeking the esteemed position will be provided with the opportunity to address their fellow Council members about their visions and aspirations as Warden.

Upon completion of addresses to Council, the official election by secret ballot will occur. Once a candidate has won by a majority of votes, the successful candidate will be announced, and a motion to elect this individual will occur.
