No one, however, expected the 29-year-old Clydesdale that entered the Knights of Columbus Hall. The horse received a rousing welcome, nonetheless. Shown astride the horse are Gene Walsh (front), president of the Tillsonburg Club, and Murray Johnson, president of the Aylmer club."

The only difference is that the Kinsmen Club members have the comforts of a modern age compared with the rigors of life experienced by the original Fathers in 1867. Club members first donned their Centennial costumes for the Aylmer Santa Claus parade and they plan to continue the tradition at various events this year. Last night they were preparing to "raid" the Delhi Kinsmen Club in place of their regular meeting in Aylmer. The only unauthentic touch was that they went in comfort by bus instead of by horse carriage."
