Volunteering with Elgin County Museum

Volunteers are an integral part of every successful community. The Elgin County Museum needs the support of volunteers in areas that may include special events, education, marketing and workshops. Be a part of Elgin County’s rich history. Become a museum volunteer. Students are welcomed to work towards their forty hour volunteer graduation requirement. Becoming a volunteer with the County of Elgin requires a current vulnerable sector police check and an interview with Elgin County Museum staff.

Meetings are held twice a month and membership is only $15.00. This is a casual gathering where members share current projects, ideas and occasionally offer special workshops. Other benefits include access to the museum’s wool cutter, library and information on resources, supplies and events.
