Library Service Updates

Library Service Update: Curbside Plus (Updated March 28, 2022)

All Elgin County Library branches are offering full hours and in-branch service including computer use and materials browsing as well as Curbside Pickup service.  Please refer to our Service and Safety Plan Updated March 2 2022 here. Questions? Please email or call your branch or (519) 631-1460 x 109 for further information.

We want to thank our community for their patience and understanding while we had to change our service model multiple times in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

How To Use Curbside Pickup:

  1. Place Your Holds – Place your requested items on hold using your Library Account online, using the MyLibrary! app, by calling or emailing your library branch.
  2. Schedule Your Pickup Time – Staff will call you to schedule a pick up time for your items.
  3. Pick Up Your Items – Arrive at the library to pick up your items. Please maintain physical distancing while waiting for your pickup and if you are picking up items for others (friends, family, neighbours, etc.), please pick them up by yourself.
  4. Enjoy Your Items! – A receipt with the due dates for your items will be included. Please return items in the book drop. Items may remain on your Library Account for up to 3 days upon return for quarantining purposes.
