Starting January 20, 2025, journey through the fascinating history of Elgin County at our Elgin County Heritage Centre’s new exhibit: “Through the Camera’s Eye: Photography in Elgin.

This captivating exhibit will shine a spotlight on the evolution of photography in Elgin County. Explore historic photography studios, marvel at iconic cameras like the Brownie Camera (created by Vienna-born Frank Brownell), and discover treasures from local newspapers, family photo albums, and private collections.
