Terrace Lodge

Terrace Lodge "the heart of caring and sharing".

Terrace Lodge is a 100 bed long-term care home in the Township of Malahide.  Situated in beautiful Elgin County, our home features private and semi-private accommodation with 24-hour nursing care.  Outdoor areas to relax with family, as well as living and dining areas are available for resident enjoyment.  A host of entertainment and recreational programs are available, as well as animal assisted therapy, spiritual care and exercise programming.

Elgin County has been providing care and support since 1875 when the first House of Industry was established.  Over the years, service has been enhanced to include three long-term care homes and community outreach programs across the County.

The County of Elgin Homes are proud members of AdvantAge Ontario, the trusted voice for senior care.

The County of Elgin Homes and Seniors Services is committed to creating a caring environment where residents and staff feel safe, respected, and valued.

Terrace Lodge Redevelopment

The Terrace Lodge Long-Term Care Home will undergo a redevelopment that is scheduled to be completed in January of 2024. Terrace Lodge was originally built in 1977 and has been home to hundreds of Elgin County residents over the past 40 years. The redevelopment has been designed to better meet the complex needs of Long-Term Care residents in 2021 and beyond. The redevelopment will maintain the 100 beds currently available at Terrace Lodge and consist of an addition and significant renovations to existing areas.
