James H. Coyne Desk

The James H. Coyne Desk was recently returned to the County of Elgin from the Registry Office. The desk is now installed in the Elgin County Council Chamber. It was used by James H. Coyne who became the county registrar in 1888. The desk is made from Bird's Eye Maple and has Oak drawers. James H. Coyne founded the Ontario Historical Association, and was on Canada's first national historical landmarks commission.
