Home page Welcome to the home page of A Retrospective Look at International Plowing Matches in Elgin County. On this website, we will introduce you to the persons, to the events and to the sights of historic and future International Plowing Matches (IPM) held in Elgin County. Elgin County has hosted the IPM three times since 1940 and has been confirmed as the host of the IPM in 2010. The Elgin County Plowmen's Association (ECPA) has been a principal partner in the organization of these matches. The Elgin County Archives is a key repository of documents, photographs and artifacts associated with Elgin County IPMs and the ECPA. This website features digitized images of a variety of these records.
