Mr. McWilliam served as Dutton/Dunwich Deputy Mayor for seven years, after serving three years as a councillor. He was acclaimed mayor in the October 2010 municipal election.
As a county councillor, serves on the Health Recruitment Partnership Committee, the Rural Initiatives Committee and the Social/Entertainment Committee.
An agricultural producer, Mr. McWilliam holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and his interests include his family, farming, history and heritage.
He has a rich history of serving his community, including: Director, Elgin Cattlemen’s Association; Director, Turkey Farmers of Ontario; minor hockey coach and trainer; and, Member of the following fund raising committees, St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, Dutton Library, and Bobier Villa;.
Mr. McWilliam and his wife Anne Marie have four children.
