Jack Couckuyt

Mr. Couckuyt was elected Mayor in the October 2010 municipal election.  He served previously as Councillor for four years.

As a county councillor, Mr. Couckuyt serves on the Elgin St. Thomas Public Health board, the South Central Ontario Region (SCOR) Committee and the Economic Development and Tourism Advisory Committee (CEEDTAC).

He has a rich history of serving his community, including: the Aylmer Police Services Board (for five years); and the Elgin Primary Water Board.

A retired educator, he and his wife Judith have one child and two grandchildren.
