Changing Text Size
Our site has been designed so you may easily increase or decrease the size of text displayed on your computer monitor to a more comfortable
size. Please note, these tips apply to Burlington Public Library's website,
and may apply to most websites as well.
- Internet Explorer (IE) will let you resize the fonts to 5 sizes - Largest, Larger, Medium (default size), Smaller and Smallest.
- Firefox, however, has a wider range and lets you decrease the font size until it becomes illegible or enlarges it so much that you see only one word on the screen.
3 Different Options
- Browser Toolbar - Use your browser, i.e. Internet Explorer v 6 & 7 or Mozilla Firefox v 2 & 3. In versions other than those listed, you may have to experiment further, or consult your browser's Help.
- Keyboard Shortcuts - Use specific keys to change text size.
- Mouse Shortcuts - If you have a wheel mouse you may use the wheel to alter the size of the text on most websites.
